TC Olen

TC Olen was founded in 1978 by tennis enthusiasts from MHO, the current Umicore, with the explicit choice of being an open club accessible to everyone. The club has more than 800 members and operates entirely on volunteers as a non-profit organisation. Every year in mid-August, the Sangria Tournament is on the programme, a tournament that has already seen more than 40 editions and has grown into a week full of tennis, padel, breakfast, BBQ and parties. Youth represents 25% of the members; all training sessions are given by qualified coaches. TC Olen also organises the Argenta Olen Trophy, a large-scale youth tournament with a star series for the best Belgian tennis players. For adults, there are among other things a Vatjevol, a mixed doubles competition with a draw, and an annual club championship. The club also has padel competitions, including an annual padel championship.
