About the club
Royal Club De Anjelier was founded in the 1940s by Flemish students at the University of Leuven as a Catholic club for Flemish social life. After several relocations, including in Wilrijk, Edegem and Reet, the club permanently settled in Kontich in 1987. In 1990, it received the title 'Royal' on the occasion of its 50th anniversary. The first men's team became Belgian champion three times in a row in singles men's 35/1 national.
Tennis lessons are provided by the DTA Tennis Academy and are accessible to members from the age of 3, both recreationally and competitively. In bad weather, lessons are given indoors at TC Beerschot. Reservations are made via Tennis Vlaanderen and white tennis clothing (80% white per garment) is mandatory on the courts. The club also offers pétanque.
