Racing Wetteren Tennis & Padel

About the club

Racing Wetteren Tennis & Padel traces its origins back to an initiative by four friends who were pharmacists and who transformed two overgrown plots of land along the Scheldt into a tennis club. In 1989, the club received a new board and was converted into a non-profit organisation in 1990. The club reached the interclub final of Belgium in 1968 and in 1983. Since 2016, it has also featured padel courts, which explains its current name.

The Tennis & Padel School offers lessons and training camps for recreational and competitive players, supervised by coaches trained by Tennis Vlaanderen. During the summer holidays, there are two sports camps for padel. The club organises its own annual tennis tournament and has received the "Youth-Friendly Tennis Club 2025" label. The clubhouse, named "Slice", is also available for hire for private parties.
