Witte Beer

About the club

Founded in 1932, Koninklijke Vereniging Witte Beer is one of the older tennis clubs in the region, with support from the sports department of the City of Bruges. The tennis school, called Rekkets, is led by Vincent Dedecker and Christophe Vanhecke, both of whom are also active for Tennis en Padel Vlaanderen. Every summer, Rekkets organises several camp formats: Tennis-Omnisport, Tennis-Padel and competition camps with tournament guidance, with the competition camps limited to a maximum of 15 participants per week. Children under 16 can take lessons without membership; adults must be a member for the spring lessons.

In addition to tennis and padel, there is also bridge, pétanque, football and cycling. The club organises bridge lessons and tournaments for both beginners and advanced players. Respect, towards opponents, equipment and local residents, is an explicit value of the club.
