K.T.C. SORGVLIET

About the club

K.T.C. Sorgvliet was founded in April 1940 by about twenty friends, with Nand Hollebeeck as its first chairman. The club is located in the historic Park Sorghvliedt in Hoboken, which also houses an athletics track and a football pitch. In 2004, Sorgvliet merged with AMICI TC, the very first tennis club in the park, founded in 1939. Since 1955, the club has participated in the official interclub competitions. The veterans 45+ became champions of Belgium in 1999, 2001, 2002 and 2004.

The tennis school works with full-time teachers and offers private lessons, group lessons, youth lessons, selection training, Saturday afternoon training and a youth summer camp. Every year the club organises the Schaal van de Hobokense Clubs, a doubles tournament for players from Hoboken tennis clubs, the first edition of which was played in September 1967. The club is open seven days a week.
