T.C. DE THUIN

About the club

Founded in 1962 with a single court in the Berceau neighbourhood, the club gradually evolved to its current facilities on the edge of the Bois du Grand Bon Dieu, and today bears the name Royal Tennis & Padel Club de Thuin following the addition of padel. The tennis school is run by Isabelle and Yannis Demeroutis and their son Nicolas, supported by a team of qualified coaches. Yannis Demeroutis served as a federal coach from 1997 to 2010, working notably with Steve Darcis, David Goffin, Olivier Rochus and Germain Gigounon, and was Justine Henin's training partner from 1997 to 2004. Courses are offered from the age of 3.5, with adult sessions and training camps during school holidays. The club typically fields around forty teams during the spring interclub competitions and makes two meeting rooms available free of charge to members and associations within the entity. The club regularly publishes a club newsletter.
