About the club
Founded in 2004 in Soignies, the Tennis Club Sonégien now has more than 200 members and has won five Hainaut Championship titles as well as one Belgian Championship title in Men's 1. Its tennis school, which brought together around ten children when it started, now welcomes 70 and offers training courses throughout the year, in summer as well as during school holidays.
The club organises several recurring events each year: a Couscous dinner to benefit the school, a wooden racket tournament, a family tournament and an oyster evening in December. Three summer tournaments also attract players affiliated with Tennis Vlaanderen. The indoor courts are furthermore made available to two neighbouring schools for their gymnastics classes, representing some 800 pupils.
