About the club

Founded in 1910 at the "Laiterie du Château des Canons" in Laeken by members of the Léopold Club, the Royal Laeken Tennis Club was granted the "Royal" title in 1935. In 1956, the club had to vacate its grounds to make way for the World Exposition: 50 members pooled their resources to build a new site in Wemmel, on land belonging to the Balcaen family, while retaining the original name. In 2010, the club celebrated its 100th anniversary.

Beyond tennis and padel, the club also offers squash, pétanque, scrabble and whist, as well as a playground for children. Multi-racket, tennis, padel and baby tennis camps are organised on a regular basis, as are 10-week tennis lesson cycles.
