Royal Racing Club de Bruxelles

About the club

Founded in 1891 near Koekelberg, the Royal Racing Club de Bruxelles has been located on Avenue des Chênes since 1901, on a 4-hectare estate on the edge of the Sonian Forest and the Bois de la Cambre. In 1904, the club hosted FIFA's first historic match, and was granted the Royal designation in 1926. The tennis section offers courses organised in annual cycles as well as training camps. The club also practises hockey and padel, the courts for which were built in 2021. Since 1954, the Racing has celebrated its distinguished members every year at the banquet of the Ordre du Rat d'Or, a gala evening open to all members, to which the Ordre des Souris « Rat » Dieuses, its female counterpart, was added in 1999.
