Tennisclub Sparta

TC Sparta was founded on 16 July 1955 as a recreational club of n.v. Manta, a company in Waasmunster that produced Sole Mio blankets. The company no longer exists, but the club has continued and still sits peacefully in the Molendreef, next to the former football fields of the same company. It is a private club with a low-threshold, convivial atmosphere, exclusively accessible to members. The season runs from the beginning of April to the end of October.

The board regularly organises activities such as an opening reception with doubles tournament, club evenings, a lazy sunday and a club tournament. During the summer holidays, tennis camps are held for primary school children. Through Tennis Vlaanderen, the club participates in interclub competition with teams for Ladies 50+, Ladies 25+ and Men 50+. Court reservations are made via the Tennis Vlaanderen app or website, and members can recover part of their membership fee through their health insurance fund.
