Tennis Club Machelen Diegem

TCMD (Tennis Club Machelen-Diegem) was founded on 27 September 1969 by Jean Dewaerheid and municipal secretary Frans Geerts as Tennis Club Machelen. In 1979, the club merged with the tennis club of Diegem and affiliated with Tennis Vlaanderen. Since 2005, TCMD has held the 'Youth-Friendly Tennis Club' label from Tennis Vlaanderen. The tennis school and youth activities are led by Marthe Deroover and a team of qualified coaches, with training camps for young people aged 4 to 18 and for adults, including an Easter camp and several summer camps.

Each year, members participate in interclub competitions and the club organises three tournaments. In addition, various activities are regularly scheduled, such as Halloween events, cardio tennis, quizzes and dinners. A notable feature of the indoor hall, completed in 2006, is that the side panels can be removed during the summer season.
