About the club
T.C. De Schakel is a family-oriented tennis club in sports park De Krekel in Izegem, run entirely by volunteers. The range of activities is broad: in addition to interclub and club championship, the club organises, among other things, a ladder tournament, doubles evenings, the Omer Open Doubles Tournament, a champagne tournament, Ladies' Cup, Men's Cup and a Grand Slam Quiz.
Lessons are available for youth and adults, in groups of maximum 4 players, from start-to-tennis to advanced players. No membership is required for start-to-tennis. Youth lessons take place in the sports hall during winter. The club also has a separate offering for young people aged 15 to 18 (Youth Training) and for students aged 19 to 23 (Student Training). Every year there is a summer camp for youth. The youth activities are coordinated by Brecht Kesteloot.
