Vautour Tennis & Padel Club

About the club

Founded in 1969 in Vaulx, near Tournai, the Vautour T.C. takes its name from the contraction of "Vaulx-Tournai", a name chosen by its first president, René Brebar. The club started on a crushed brick court belonging to the Desclée family, restored by its founders. In 2006, it became the first club from Hainaut to win the Belgian championship title in Interclubs Nationale 1, then in 2016 the most decorated club in the country, winning that same year in both Nationale 1 Women's and Nationale 1 Men's. Players such as Dick Norman, Maxime Authom and Klaartje Liebens have passed through the club. Vautour hosts an annual summer tournament in August and a winter tournament, and offers a tennis and padel academy as well as pickleball under a Tennis Wallonie-Bruxelles licence.
