Tennis Club Havré

About the club

Founded on 24 September 1981 by Jean-Pol Hautenauve, the Tennis Club d'Havré quickly grew in size: by 1983, it had 788 members, making it the largest club in Hainaut. Today it has around 700 members. The tennis school, led since 1994 by Marie-Paule Alhant, regularly teaches more than 350 pupils and offers four levels of group lessons, starting from the age of 3 with mini-tennis and psychomotor skills sessions.

Every summer the club organises an international tournament with a prize fund of €10,000, launched in July 2011, which attracts players ranked between 300th and 700th in the world. An entertainment committee keeps club life active throughout the year: internal tournaments, interclub competitions, a doubles day and a tennis school celebration. The club has disabled access with a stairlift.
