About the club

Founded in 2002 in Molenbeek, 15 minutes from the centre of Brussels, the LE CHALET Tennis Club is one of only two clubs in the Brussels region to offer a wheelchair tennis section, with coaches trained by Tennis Wallonie-Bruxelles and the disability sports federation. Paralympic champion Joachim Gérard, Olympic medallist and Grand Slam winner, is associated with the club through this section. The tennis school, led by Arielle Van Den Avont, welcomes children from the age of 4 with psychomotor activities, and is organised into three streams: recreational, intensive and competitive.

In interclub competitions, the club fields 25 to 30 teams across all categories each season, with several regional titles to its name and teams having reached the national semi-finals or finals. Under-17 players have claimed the title of Belgian Champion. The club house operates as a cooperative: each member can hold a share and benefit from preferential rates on restaurant cards.
