De Merel Sport

De Merel Sport, located on the De Merel estate in Brecht, has taken on the character of a second home for many members. The tennis school Advantage, led by Filip Bogaerts, works exclusively with qualified Tennis Vlaanderen coaches and always gives lessons indoors, with a maximum of three pupils per trainer. During the Easter holidays and summer, the club organises youth camps that combine tennis and padel with activities such as football, basketball, badminton and forest games. Social life is filled with regular events: a weekly club afternoon on Mondays and Fridays, a Ladies Night, a parent-child tournament and pétanque through 'Boules en Babbels', every first Tuesday of the month. The padel courts are also open to non-members. In 't Merelhuisje, Tom and Sofie welcome everyone for drinks and snacks.
