About the club
Founded in 1971 by Jan Blanckaert on the Plaine des Sports in La Hulpe, a municipal ground resulting from a donation by the Solvay family in 1962, RTC 1310 celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2021 by being granted the Royal title. The club has more than 677 members and fields 28 teams in interclub competitions. Its junior record is highlighted by the 1st International Youth Tournament organised in 1996, won notably by Olivier Rochus and Justine Henin, who also used the club's indoor courts to prepare for the Australian Open. Every summer, the club hosts a 5-star Open tournament on the Belgian Circuit, with Stefan Wauters remaining its icon with 5 victories. The A4TP tennis school (La Hulpe Academy) offers group lessons, private lessons and training camps. The blue stone terrace overlooking the centre court is a well-known gathering point for members during the summer season.
